Name; Calypso Aineki
Age; 18
Gender; Female
Personality; Calypso, out of the two between her and her father, is more of the realist. She likes to live within the moment and take everything in, but at the end of the day, she knows that mermaids, merfolk, whatever don't really exist. Due to losing her mother at an early age, she is rather self sufficient and tries helping out her father more instead of him helping her out.
She doesn't have much faith in old sea legends or gods and goddesses like her father does because a: the beliefs seem too extreme and b: If there were gods and goddesses, they wouldn't have taken her mother away when Calypso so needed her. She has a strong work ethic, but does take advantage of the fact that she lives in such a beautiful land. She hates being on sea in a boat but adores coming to the beach and sticking her feet in the water, actually swimming..is a different story.
Occupation; She occasionally strings pearls her father finds into jewelry and sells them in the market, other than that she has no "real" job.
Extra; She was named after the goddess of the sea. Her father is particularly obsessed with the sea and all its myths, sometimes a bit too much for his daughter. He feels she is a gift from the gods, what with her sea blue hair and golden eyes and takes her with him wherever he goes.
She is still a student and studying to better her career, although she does make time to ensure her father is well. She really wants to move away from the islands and see what life is like elsewhere, the profession of her dreams is to be a professional jewelry maker and create nicer pieces rather than shining, glossing and stringing stray pearls together every now and then.
