Names: Sterling Shaw & Jacquelyn Girard
Ages: Both 23
Gender: Male & Female
Appearance: Here
Personality:
Sterling-
He's the bad boy that everyone wants to hate but can't help but love. He does what he wants, has an 'I don't give a fuck about you' attitude and doesn't take lightly to those that try to break him from his smoking and alcohol lifestyle. He isn't afraid to push someone aside and tell them that they look like crap if they really do. He's brutally honest and really has a hard time being nice. Although he does, every now and then, try it out. When he's around Jacquelyn, he tries to be a better person. He tries to be nicer, more considerate and all around better because he realizes how wonderful she is, though that's something that'll never come from his lips. Although he won't be giving up his smoking and drinking for anyone, though that isn't a problem since she likes to do some drinking every now and then herself.
Jacquelyn-
Jacquelyn is a very bright young woman. Enthusiastic about her work and fearless when it comes to her performances in front of so many people, she is probably one of the best people to be around. She's kind, sweet, inventive and passionate about everything she does in life. She lives by teh philosophy that every single second of someone's life is an on stage performance. It should be treasured and fulfilled completely to the fullest of a person's capabilities. Life is too short to live and she knows it from how many people she had lost throughout her life.
Although she has a pretty bad temper and isn't afraid to really pack a punch toward someone if they end up sparking that awful temper of hers. She isn't afraid to dance around and strut her stuff if the mood strikes her. Jacquelyn is usually very willing to help someone out if they need. She's a hopeless romantic and will often swoon at inopportune moments if something truly romantic pops into her mind. She's often referred to as a 'Stupid Girl' from Sterling but knows he doesn't mean it.
Background History:
Sterling was raised in an orphanage for as long as he could possibly remember. He was always a rowdy child, often getting in trouble and into fights with other boys of all ages and even a few adults. He didn't last very long in new homes. The most he was able to stay in a place without being coldly booted back to the orphanage was about a month. Nobody could handle his rebellious spirit. That is, until a school music teacher got to him. This man, in his late twenties, didn't give a crap about Sterling's bad attitude. He threw a guitar at young Sterling, locked the doors and windows and forced him to play until his fingers were sore. He felt it taught Sterling some discipline and self control. Continuously, Sterling would practice, albeit unwillingly.
His skill bloomed at a incredibly fast rate. Kids would give their milk money just to hear him play in the courtyard, and he did now and then hold small 'concerts' as he grew older. It was when he was seventeen that he was recognized and granted the opportunity to either go to college or finish the last few months of his senior year and then be recruited into the band Pennies for My Queen. He, obviously, choose to get into the music business as fast as he possibly could. It was then that he met his buddies, Quince, Jaye, and Rai. The four of them traveled the word, partied hard, and didn't give a crap about what anyone had to say. They were one of the top bands before they came in contact with the popular, all girl French band, Arlequin.
Which is where Jacquelyn comes into play. She, on the other hand, was raised in a very wealthy French family. Her parents were both in the electronics industry so good money was pouring from everywhere, it seemed. She always got what she wanted, although it never really completely got to her head. When she was a child, she would noisily bang at the grand piano her parents owned until she made 'pretty noises'. One of their maids saw potential in her and started to secretly teach Jacquelyn how to play the piano. It wasn't too long until she was pursuing other sorts of instruments and getting scholarships for her abilities.
Not that she needed them, but she did use them to keep some extra spending cash in her own pocket. When she entered high school, her and her three girlfriends, Abelle, Jolie and Lucille, had all decided to make a band, just for the hell of it. Her father ended up finding their music to be pretty good and introduced them to a close friend of his who was in the music business. Not too long, the band Arlequin was formed and they were the hottest thing in France. A world wide battle of the bands had soon started to come into play and Jacqueline had found that to be a perfect opportunity to get more publicity all around the world. That was around the time she met up with Sterling.
Their meeting wasn't particuarly picturesque, namely because Sterling had stopped to ask her where 'the crapper' was. Jacquelyn, after instructing him, recognized that he was the lead guitarist and vocals from an English band and the two started to talk for a bit. Sterling found her to be a bit of a 'stupid girl' but did take some interest in their conversation, as well as her 'assets' as she turned to walk away and head back to their respective bands. Once it came time to perform and the girls won, that was when a sort of love-hate settled in. Sterling didn't like the thought of losing, or losing to 'a bunch of girls' for that matter. He disliked them all and yet Sterling and Jacquelyn found themselves hanging out more and more.
Fun Facts:
Sterling really does call Jacquelyn 'Stupid girl', but as they start to spend more time it's just out of habit. He gets very defensive around her when other males are around.Jacquelyn HATES the nickname 'Jacky'. She prefers to go by Lynn. While he prefers the normal cigs, he does sometimes smoke a bit of pot. With Jacquelyn around, the two do end up getting pretty stoned. They both represent their home countries and sometimes personify some of the more common stereotypes in an attempt to add some comedy and irony to their characters.
