Names: "Kiyo" (Kiyomichi) Souma & Kiyomi Sohma
Ages: Both 19
Genders: Male & Female
Appearances: Here & Here
Personalities:Kiyo tends to come off as the 'bad boy' that everyone wants either as their boyfriend or the leader in their clique. Instead he considers himself to be more of the lone wolf and will only stick toward the people that have proven that they deserve his trust and loyalty. As far as kids in school go, Kiyo is very suspicious of their characters and doesn't trust someone immediately. It takes a good amount to really win him over. He sometimes comes off as insensitive when he instead has a slight case of social awkwardness. He has a slight temper that will flair if someone decides to call him 'Kiki' and when he does something wrong he tries to apologize his hardest but it sometimes sounds as if it's a bit aggressive. When it comes to Kiyomi he is much more compassionate and doting and very respectful of her situation and as to why they can't get too close.
Kiyomi on the other hand is as flamboyant as they come. She loves to switch up her style, she loves to trot into a room and immediately cuddle against one of her cursed family members. She's very bubbly and outgoing, which can sometimes annoy most of her pessimistic family members. She always has intentions of cheering them up but sometimes it doesn't work that way.
But she's also the kind of girl that you can't get mad at for long periods of times because you know that she's incredibly sweet and very loyal. She can get just a bit clingy but that's because of the animal possessing her. She needs warmth and likes to have people close to her. Her popularity had escalated to the point where people wanted to appoint her as the high school's president. She turned it down respectfully but often gives a few ideas to improve the council and make school a bit more enjoyable.
Background History:Kiyo had a pretty easy life. His mother and father worked as a doctor and nurse at the local hospital so they brought home great pay. Kiyo was granted anything he wanted because he was their only child and he enjoyed it for a while until he saw that he was always inside and there were children outside always playing. He decided to explore the outside world and found that the kids in his neighborhood would soon grow up alongside him and be the best of friends. They all grew close, went through the rest of elementary, middle and currently high school together.
As Kiyo grew, he knew he preferred going out with friends rather than material items, so for christmases, birthdays, et cetera. instead of asking for items he'd ask for money. It soon wasn't enough. He grew bored with just being handed stuff for having good jobs. He passed by a florist's one day at the age of seventeen when he saw her. He was hit hard when he saw Kiyomi at the flower shop for the first time, looking at the lillies, something he'd soon find out to be her favorite flower.
In a desperate attempt to get her attention, he applied for a job there and started working immediately. He'd be able to see her daily and eventually got up enough courage to strike small conversations, although he wondered why she always kept her distance. To his delight, he found out that she had soon after transferred to his school so they saw each other almost daily. Each lunch he would spy her near a large oak tree and would just bask in her beauty for a while until he would decide to go over and talk to her a bit. Although he would never stay long because his friends would often steal him away, growing a bit jealous that he was falling hard for Kiyomi. To try and sway him away, they often tried to tell lies about her, like how she wouldn't date any guy in the school because she thought she was too good.
Kiyo never believed them, he knew too well by now that while she was very flamboyant and full of energy, she was never show-offy or that self centered. He soon started to leave anonymous little tokens of affection, a single lilly every day lodged in the small slits of her locker. He one day was caught during his actions when Kiyomi had come in to finish a test. It was then he had confessed to everything and mustered up all of his courage to ask her out on a date. She seemed hesitant, but accepted. That night he would end up finding something that would most definitely change his life.
Kiyomi only ever had a tough life when it came to being a younger child. She was teased constantly because her hair and eyes were much lighter than what a 'normal' Japanese person's were according to the kids. She was dubbed a freak and a weirdo and while it hurt her for a while, she shrugged it off and expressed herself through her clothing. For about two years she went on a vow of silence and it took the efforts of her cousin to break her out of that vow. When Kiyomi started to talk again, her flamboyant personality would start to kick in.
She would try helping out around the Sohma estate in any way she could but her decorating ideas weren't very valued because of the high fashion ideas she had that were apparently on a level much higher than what her family members were thinking. While family members prepared for numerous family affairs throughout the year, Kiyomi had her head stuck in her sketch book. She so desperately wanted to become a clothing designer, she would practically doodle away in her book during class, always coming up with unusual designs. She also loved flowers, very much.
Daily she would pass by a local florist's to take a look at the lovely colours, but it was the lillies that she favored the most out of all of them. She didn't carry much money on her person so she could never buy a tiny bouquet for herself but after a while she would find that someone would leave a single lilly in her locker every day. She found it incredibly sweet and would accept the lillies, immediately putting them in water and in a vase on her windowsill every day when arriving from school. She started to collect these lillies, only dreaming what her secret admirer would look like, how he acted, everything.Being the hopeless romantic she was, Kiyomi often got carried away with her ideas..Up until she soon found out who this 'culprit' was.
It was the young man she had always seen at the flower shop and around school every now and then. It brought a smile to her lips to see that the apparent 'bad boy' of the school had a soft side and was sweet enough to leave her lillies. Although when the thought of a date came up,Kiyomi became worried. She was afraid that her curse would interfere, and the last thing she wanted was for Kiyo to hate her..Unfortunately, at the very end of their date night, Kiyo had been sucked into the world that was run by the Sohma curse. He experienced first hand Kiyomi's transformation, her curling around his arm for warmth in her snake form and her transformation back to a young woman.
She had to scoop her clothes up, drag an extremely embarrassed Kiyo into her house and, when she was decent, explained everything about her curse. By the end of it, she was close to breaking out in tears, begging and pleading for Kiyo to not tell anyone and hate her for this. To her great shock he accepted her and asked to be her boyfriend. Kiyomi was at a loss of words, but she accepted, hoping desperately that this could work out.
Fun Facts:Kiyomi is the daughter of the former snake, Ayame Sohma.Kiyo and Kiyomi share two classes together and sometimes get confused when roll comes because their last names and first names are so similar.
